Joan Okorodudu |
The
face of modelling in Nigeria witnessed a big transformation when Joan
Okorodudu came into the picture. That the lovable woman behind Nigeria’s
Next Super Model has helped to metamorphose modelling in Nigeria is
stating the obvious. The contest which has produced some of Nigeria’s
best models made its debut in 2007. Since then, there has been no
looking back for the brains behind the show.
Over the years, it has been the tradition of the organisers of NNSM to give out a brand new car to its winner, while the top five are given international modelling contracts/jobs which in turn launch them into professional modelling. For this year’s show, registrations from various parts of the country and even from outside the country will be considered and the grand screening/audition will take place in October as usual as 15 girls and 10 guys will be short-listed for the reality TV show.
For the first time in NNSM history, male models are added to the project. They will be given the opportunity to walk their way to stardom.
