We’ll expose corruption in Nigeria football — Minister

Sports minister, Solomon Dalung, has blamed the under development of Nigeria football on corruption, even as he insisted that exposing corrupt practices in Nigeria won’t stop foreign investors.
He blamed corruption and insincerity of football administrators for the poor patronage of foreign investors, assuring the public of always upholding virtues of accountability and transparency.
“I must also disagree with those who are claiming that exposing corruption in the [football] system will drive away foreign investors,” said Dalung.
“To me, corruption is largely responsible for the underdevelopment of the country and the Buhari-led government is firmly committed to exposure of and fight against corruption.
“This government is not going to lose sleep over the thinking that foreign investors will be discouraged if corruption in high places was exposed, and t he nation should not wash its dirty linen in public.
“As far as the fight against corruption is concerned, there is no going back. We shall provide detergents wherever we find dirty linen.
