If West Ham United were serious in their pursuit of Super Eagles’ striker, Emmanuel Emenike, they must cough out £7 million, the striker’s parent club, Fenerbahce have said, reports The Sun of London.
Emenike has been on loan from the Turkish club to Al Ain of the UAE.The report states that West Ham  have held talks with Emenike, adding that the 2013 African Nations Cup winner has been in London to negotiate a deal.
“Hammers boss Slaven Bilic knows Emenike from his time in Turkey as Besiktas manager and the striker has emerged as a possible January signing,” adds the report.
“Fenerbahce want at least £7million for their striker on a permanent deal or thrash out terms for another loan.”West Ham co-owner, David Sullivan, confirmed that the club are in talks with a new striker by saying: “There’s a possibility that a striker will come in on loan, with the option to buy, within the next seven days. He’s an overseas striker.
“If I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. I can’t tell you which league because then you’ll know exactly who it is. We are signing from a very strange league. But he has played in higher leagues.”Hinting at the summer bid for Bony, Sullivan added: “We are looking, long-term, for a 20-goal-a-season striker.”
